Artist, Nathaniel Miller, creates a celebration of the wonders in the natural world. His paintings capture the intricacies, the magic, and the beauty of livingĀ things as he puts it, "In hopes of inspiring others to preserve these wonders, not destroy them."

Born in 1948 in Arlington, VA, Nathaniel Miller has been creating works of art for over 35 years and successfully exhibiting at Washington, D.C. area galleries. Residing in Lenoir, North Carolina, Nathaniel Miller spends a lot of time in the country, by water, and in the woods; being where nature inspires refreshing perspectives. His awareness of what is going on under a leaf, behind that rock, or around the next corner has compelled him to create paintings that integrate the natural world in fascinating and unusual forms. Within a given painting, he will peel ba
ck layers, offer additional dimensions, and open new windows of intrigue. Twisting realities and florescent colors add to the unexpected and refreshing ways in which we can view this world.

"We are all part of the inter-connected puzzle that makes up the natural world... my work expresses my deep appreciation for its beauty and complexity which is all too often forgotten or disregarded.

I have a very strong connection with the natural world and feel most at home when I am surrounded by it. I believe that all living things are connected like a huge, complex puzzle. My work involves making use of these pieces."
